Yes to fate and yes to destiny.

Fate is defined as “the development of events outside a person’s control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power.”         Destiny is defined as “the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future.”

Yes, both are believable and accurate. Since we are free choice beings there have got to be opposites to choose from. We make choices every day that impact our lives (destiny) in some manner. Whether large or small choices we all have the ability and power to frame our destiny. Fate is where God reserves His right to influence our destiny. Whether good or not so good, fate plays some role in destiny. The role played depends on one being God or many gods. Whichever the case, fate is occupied by some spiritual authority. I believe no man to be completely independent. He is influenced by one or many throughout life. One’s fate is occupied by whom the individual chooses (or doesn’t). God almighty or the god of this world.
