If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?
Throughout the Old Testament whenever God chose someone who was in the line of Christ , God changed their name. The person seemed to have to mature into the name God gave them. The name was bigger than the person. Over time, the individual grew into the new name. In the garden of Eden, God brought all the animals to see what Adam would name them. Man named the animals and gained authority over what was named. Names are very significant and hold authority. How much more if God names us ? Revelations reveal that God gives us a new name only He and each individual understands. How awesome.
No matter how awesome this seems, there is the side that is already ridiculing . It’s like I have this positive side of me where nothing goes astray. Then the negative side chimes in and tells me I will never choose the positive. I long for that new name. One only God and I know. OK I have more on this thought but I leave it at this.
