DO I BECOME A PART OF WHATEVER I ADMIRE ?

When I notice something about another person I like, I  develop an acquaintance. There is something about each one of us that attracts other people. Whether money, charisma, kindness, empathy or anything that is attractive to us, something interests a person. When I am drawn to a person I want to get to know the person. This process determines the level of esteem I place upon someone or even something. However high on the bar I esteem the person, whether I know it or not I start taking on some of the attributes of that person. I am careful who I look up to. Noone is a perfect example. As far as I know, Jesus Christ is the only example of a perfect person.

Whom do I look to for advice? I try and look towards God, and if I want to really listen, I open His mouth, the Bible, and start listening. I admire people who have made a commitment and have not faltered on that commitment. It is difficult living in commitment. The person who keeps his word or shows up everyday to volunteer to help another these people deserve to be noticed. The person who is still married after 20 years, these days, deserves to be noticed. This is a person I want to admire taking on some of the attributes of the person I admire. I do not admire to many people and the ones I do are far from perfect except God and His Son Jesus.
